Steve White:

Studied for FdA and Ba(hons) Degrees in Contemporary Creative Practice at Cornwall College (Plymouth Universtiy).

My practice encompases Sculpture, Photography, Image Manipulation and Graphic Design. Whilst I am a keen sculptor, I produce much more two dimentional work.

I am happy working both in the abstract and figurative, alternating between the two. If forced to choose, I would opt for abstract because I feel that it encourages a greater dialogue between the work and the viewer. My ambition, is to produce work for public spaces, and to may be one day work on a grand scale, producing a real Landscape piece of Sculpture.

I became involved with Art8 in 2016 and now look after the Art8 website.

Caroline Swain

Caroline has been involved in Art8 since 2013 and has done many roles including admin, marketing, volunteer recruitment and everything else in between!

Following a degree in Drama Caroline worked with a variety of local theatre companies and assisted in Managing and Marketing their work around the county.

Caroline now works on the Marketing team for a local charity and although based on the south coast the beautiful sunsets of the North Coast always draw her back!

Clare Louise

I joined Art8 just last year. It's so lovely to be a part of something quite exciting for Newquay. Not everyone expects Newquay to be such a diverse and "arty" town, which is why Art 8 is a fantastic way to show it all off!
I have a degree in Creative and Performing arts from Liverpool hope university where I studied Shakespeare, contemporary dance, performance studies, singing and theatre production. I have been involved in performing and the arts for pretty much all my life.
Originally from the Northwest of England, I moved to Cornwall 4 years ago to gain my Early Years teacher status at St. Mark and st. John university. I loved Cornwall, Newquay especially that I stayed.
I am now a teacher at Zelda School where Creativity, the Arts and Nature are essential.
